About Me

Hi, I’m Kayla. I’m a yoga and meditation student and teacher. I have been practicing yoga and meditation since 2008 and teaching since 2012.

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Forrest yoga teachers Heidi Sormaz and Cat Allen in 2012. After teaching for almost 10 years, I found Home Yoga in Andover, MA and fell in love with the alignment-based vinyasa style that Kristin Olson teaches, along with the welcoming community that practices at Home. In 2023, I completed Kristin’s 300-hour training and have been teaching at Home Yoga since then.

In 2024, I took Andy Kelley’s meditation teacher training. In my yoga classes, I have always taught with an emphasis on the importance of breath throughout the practice and incorporated aspects of my own meditation practice. Since completing meditation training, I have begun teaching meditation and mindfulness classes, as well as yoga.

Yoga and meditation have given me a way to connect with myself in the present moment. I enjoy teaching others to help guide them toward finding this same connection. If you catch me not practicing or teaching yoga, then I’m probably hanging out with my dog or seeing live music.
